So, this would be the third finch of the three from my father's faux bird feeder. I decided to make this one a Gouldian Finch, since he said I could make the third whatever I wanted. He was extremely happy with it, but questioned the color. Perhaps it was my monitor, or the printer, but those are the colors I followed. I'm not quite sure if in reality, the bird is as bright. I, of course, primed the bird after cleaning it. I used primarily Citadel Colours paints. I made the base of the belly a custom yellow, then dry brushing with a custom lighter yellow. I simply just put a brown-green wash on the wings, leaving parts unpainted so I could then paint with the yellow-green you see. Lots of washes and dry brushing, that's for sure. ) The head was painted with Vallejo. Love the black in the Vallejo paints.
